Harry Potter

Today we were visited by Warner Bros who taught us how a story idea becomes a film.

We saw the original scripts for Harry Potter, the storyboards they used to piece together the scene and we even got to look at the clothes that Hagrid wore in the films. The children really enjoyed it and asked lots of questions which increased their understanding of how a film is created.

Mountain Homework

Today we shared our homework on the highest mountain in England; Scafell Pike and the highest mountain in Scotland; Ben Nevis. The children showed some really inventive ways to display their information and there were lots on interesting facts on display.

Stations of the Cross

Yesterday we visited St Saviours church to learn about the stations of the cross. The children were very interested in studying the different stations and asked lots of questions. We also learnt about Nicholas Breakspear, the English Pope and how he was born in Abbots Langley.
