This week was very busy (as usual) but also very different as we had a few visitors who came in to help us with our learning.
On Tuesday we had some coaches from Watford FC come in to help us develop our football skills and talk to us about leading a healthy life. Mrs Dee also got in on the action!
We also had the police visit us today to talk to the children about online safety and the importance of being an upstanding member of the community. There were a lot of questions!
Today the children enjoyed a carousel of different Maths activities and games to help consolidate their knowledge.
Yesterday we had an enjoyable trip to Hatfield House where we learnt even more about the Tudor times and saw some famous faces come to life!
We also got to visit a farm where we learnt all about the animals the Tudors used to keep and how they used to farm.
Today we continued creating our iMovies about The Tudors and/or Space. The children used their knowledge of the subjects to help create their movies. There was some great acting on show!
This afternoon the children used their fine acting skills to interpret some lines from the prologue of Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’.
After lunch today we had a furry visitor pop in and say hello. There were plenty of “Aw’s” as Mr Billing walked into class holding his dog Archie in his arms. The children are very excited to be seeing more of Archie!
Today in Maths some of the children had a chance to display their teaching skills in as they came to the front to show the class how they worked out the answer.
Today in Maths we were looking at the most efficient methods for working out word problems. We then created our own word problems and shared them with the class.
